The project is located in a former fishing neighbourhood on the outskirts of Es Molinar and Es Portixol harbours. Developed with low-rise houses, these traditional dwellings are characterised by their simplicity of form and the use of natural materials that establish a gentle dialogue with the sea.
The corner plot lies on the boundary between urban and rural land, a condition that strongly defines the project’s relationship with its immediate surroundings.
Within a compact site, an ambitious programme is developed, consisting of three apartments: two with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a third with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Two of the units include private swimming pools, and all of them feature outdoor spaces designed for open-air living.
The building aims to recover the aesthetic roots of the traditional fishermen’s houses, which have gradually been lost with the construction of new developments, while highlighting one of their most distinctive—and climatically essential—elements: the mallorquina shutters.
From the interior, the living spaces open onto a terrace that wraps around the building, extending daily life and activities outdoors.
